🌲 Raj Gundha Valley Trek: The 360° Panorama
A semi-nomadic village trek with the best views in Kangra Valley.
Altitude: ~8,900 ft (2,700 meters).
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate (Perfect for beginners & families).
Trek Distance: Approx. 14 km (from Billing).
Best Time: March to June (Pleasant) & October to December (Clear views). Jan-Feb is for snow trekking.
Start Point: Billing (Paragliding Take-off Site).
End Point: Raj Gundha Village (or loop back to Billing)
🗓️ Standard 2-Day Itinerary (Most Popular)
This is the standard plan that sells best to tourists.
Day 1: Bir to Billing & Trek to Raj Gundha
09:00 AM: Drive from Bir to Billing (16 km).
10:00 AM: Start Trekking from Billing. The trail is wide and scenic, passing through Oak and Rhododendron forests.
12:30 PM: Reach Channa Ghat (The highest point). Stop here for Maggi/Tea. This spot offers a dual view: Kangra Valley on one side and Raj Gundha Valley on the other.
03:00 PM: Arrive at Raj Gundha Village.
Evening: Explore the traditional mud houses, visit the Uhl River (short walk), and enjoy a bonfire.
Stay: Camping in Tents or Homestay.
Day 2: Sunrise & Return
06:30 AM: Wake up for a stunning sunrise over the Dhauladhar range.
09:00 AM: After breakfast, start the return trek to Billing (Same route) OR trek down to Badagran (Short route, 5 km) if you have arranged a taxi pickup there.
01:00 PM: Reach Billing.
Optional: Guests can Paraglide from Billing to Bir (Landing site) to end the trip in style.
